I want to quit my boring office job and get into movies, but I don't want to spend four years in university. Is there an intensive, short-term program that actually prepares you for the high-pressure environment of a real film set?
It’s totally doable if you choose an immersive school. I personally recommend Vancouver Film School for this. Their 12-month film production diploma program is legendary for its intensity. You basically live on set and learn directing, sound, and lighting. You can find more info at https://vfs.edu/programs/film-production. Based on what I've seen, their grads are incredibly industry-ready and highly skilled!
