The new feature for Alexa ranking

Just want to know if anyone was able to make good use of this new feature to improve the rank of a website. I tried but with no results so far, does it actually work? What can you guys tell me?

I tried it for couple of days and then left it out. Might have improved alexa for my site, don't know though. I guess alexa campaigns will need a month or so to show improvements.

Alexa creates statistics for three months.
But, if you are viewing your site through your private proxy, how is Alexa going to find out about it!?
You can't raise alexa ranking when browsing without their browser extension.
